Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do attendees need to register for sessions? Attendees do NOT need to pre-register for any of the sessions for the 2022 virtual conference. Space in each virtual meeting room is unlimited and each attendee will be able to attend whatever session they would like to.

  • Who can attend this event?
    ANY person who works with children birth through age 8 is encouraged to attend!  We expect people from ALL over the world.  This conference erases the borders, and allows us all to simply be Early Childhood Educators!


  • How can I earn Ohio Approved Credit?
    Great question!  We are thrilled to be able to provide Ohio Approved Credit for this virtual event.  In order to receive credit, you will need to attend a session that is noted as "OA Approved". Credit is available when you watch during the live/premier of the session AND for on-demand sessions. You must enter your OPIN when you register and view the entire session AND fill out the post-session survey in order to receive credit. 

    Can't attend the conference dates? No problem! Credit is available for on-demand sessions until May 31st, 2022.


  • Why is the event virtual again this year?
    We get where you are coming from and miss gathering together in person! This is a decision we didn't make lightly!. It takes more than a year to plan an in-person event and due to the pandemic and staffing crisis, virtual is the best option to meet the needs of most people. We can’t wait to be back in-person with you, but until that time comes, we are looking forward to creating an event that supports the needs of all Ohio Early Childhood Educators.

  • It would be great if I could receive a certificate of attendance for each session I attend. But I know that could never happen, right?
    Your wish is our command!  You will receive a certificate of attendance for each session you view.
    That is a lot of certificates if you view all of the sessions! We hope you have a comfy chair!


  • How can I pay?
    Credit card is the preferred form of payment. However, Purchase Orders are accepted as well as a personal check. If you want to pay with a credit card and only be charged once for a group, please contact us.


  • Do you offer discounts?
    There are no available discounts.  We have worked really hard...like really, really hard to create a world-class event at the very lowest price!  100+ additional sessions come out to under $1 per session. 


  • Do I need an email account to register online?
    Yes. If you don't have an email account, now is a great time to get one (they're free at yahoo.com or gmail.com). You will immediately be able to review and verify your registration information. All conference and registration updates will be sent directly to you! Please provide an individual email for each attendee if registering as a group.

  • What is included in conference registration?
    Conference registration includes admission to all sessions (Keynotes, Featured Speakers, Breakout Sessions and Discussion Groups), virtual exhibit hall, scavenger hunt game and much more!

  • I have a voucher or credit, what do I do?
    Using your voucher is simple! Please reach out to Laura Richards PRIOR to registering. She will provide you with a discount code to offset your registration cost by the amount of your voucher. 

  • Can I get a refund if I cancel my registration?
    Conference Registration fees are non-refundable.

  • I can’t attend the conference anymore, what can I do?
    We get it, things come up, and schedules change!  You will have on-demand access until May 31st. View what you want, when you want!


  • What platform are you using for the virtual event?
    We are thrilled to be using BuzzCast for the 2022 Early Childhood Virtual Conference. BuzzCast is a virtual engagement platform for event organizers, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors and attendees. The platform is very easy to use - It's cool and we think you will like it too!  


  • I loved the in-person conference, will I enjoy this?
    If you experienced the in-person event...an event described by the American Business Awards as the "best association event in the country" (we want to thank our moms!), you are going to LUV this virtual event.  We can't hug you like we could at the in-person event, but we can still virtually help build community, connections, and laughter.  All you need is an internet connection...and $99 (please don't forget that). 


  • I loved visiting the exhibit hall, will there still be exhibitors?
    We love our exhibitors and they love you! The virtual exhibit hall is going to be wonderful, plus you can visit whenever you want! You can get all the great information you normally can in the hall and can even speak face-to-face (through video) with exhibitors if you want. 

  • What will be the best way to view the conference?
    The best way to experience the conference is on a desktop/laptop, or tablet.  It is possible to use your smartphone but it is not recommended. Does your laptop have HDMI? Hook your laptop up to your TV to have an even better experience!


  • Can I watch with my team?
    Team viewing is an awesome part of the virtual conference experience!
    In order to receive Ohio Approved credit, each person must be logged in and viewing the session on their device (cell phone, tablet, computer). These devices can then be muted and then view as a team on a larger screen. All attendees are required to complete a post-session survey in order to receive credit.

    Each individual must register to receive log-in credentials. Logins are not permitted to be shared. ONLY the registered attendee is permitted to view sessions. ONLY the registered attendee may earn Ohio Approved Credit or certificates.
