"Ohio AEYC has a long, rich history of supporting the Early Childhood field and moving the needs of children and professionals serving them forward in the discussion at the local, state, and national level. As the Early Learning Challenge Grant has brought many opportunities for young children and professionals to our state it is important that a voice from the field remains present in the implementation process and beyond. I believe Ohio AEYC is a strong and vibrant voice that represents a majority of the professionals in the field impacted by the evolving world of early education. Ohio AEYC will ensure that those professionals working in the field will be heard in the change process. My work with Ohio AEYC is professionally and personally rewarding and has helped me to build my voice for the work I do today.
As the field continues to evolve and change, Ohio AEYC must be the voice that is the connector between the intended benefit of the change and the reality of the implementation in the field. We need to strengthen our capacity to be the connector, and yet find new and innovative ways to serve our membership. It is important that we represent the needs of our members and the children they serve never losing sight of core values of decisions that are nimble in their response, driven by knowledge, and ensure trust in their membership and in their professional partners."
