Quality Teaching and Learning Coordinator, WSOS Community Action Commisson, Inc.
"I am passionate about advocating for quality services for ALL of Ohio’s youngest learners. It is imperative that the Ohio AEYC Board of Directors has representation that includes the voice of current direct service providers. I work with early childhood programs who continue to struggle daily to strengthen quality by implementing: licensing rules, Early Intervention, Help Me Grow, Ohio’s Step Up to Quality, NAEYC accreditation, Head Start and Early Head Start regulations which represent diverse cultures and communities across Ohio.
I am committed to listening to members’ stories across Ohio in an effort to better understand and hear their interest, challenges, and passions. I am committed to representing those stories so that all voices may be heard and applied to direct public policy efforts, conference agendas, and ongoing professional development opportunities.I believe it is the responsibility of the Ohio AEYC board to understand how current rules, regulations and quality initiatives are impacting the daily lives of early childhood professionals, communities, parents and children. I know that together we are stronger, and I am willing to do all I can to facilitate change in Ohio’s system that will benefit ALL of Ohio’s Early Childhood children, families and communities! "
