Frequently Asked Questions

  • What payment options are there?
    Credit Card, check and purchase orders are accepted. If you are paying via purchase order (PO), please include the purchase order number when registering. If you have questions, please contact us at 419-946-6693. Mail checks to: Ohio AEYC, P.O. Box 71, Mount Gilead, Ohio 43338. Please send all purchase order questions to: events@oaeyc.org

     

  • How do I register my large group?
    If you have a group of 15 or more, please reach out to Laura Richards and she will be happy to provide more information on how we can have you easily register your group!

     

  • Who can attend this event?
    ANY person who works with children birth through age 8 is encouraged to attend!  We expect people from ALL over the world.  This conference erases the borders, and allows us all to simply be Early Childhood Educators!

     

  • How can I earn Ohio Approved Credit?
    Great question!  We are thrilled to be able to provide Ohio Approved Credit for this event.  In order to receive credit, you will need to attend a session that is noted as "OA Approved". Credit is available when you attend the entire session. You must enter your OPIN when you register. 

     

  • Do I need an email account to register?
    Yes. If you don't have an email account, now is a great time to get one (they're free at yahoo.com or gmail.com). All conference and registration updates will be sent directly to you! Please provide an individual email for each attendee if registering as a group.
     

  • What is included in conference registration?
    Conference registration includes admission to the keynote and workshops for each day you are registered to attend. As a bonus to our attendees, you may attend the Exhibitor Showcase on any day of the conference regardless of the days you have registered to attend. So if you’re only registered for one day, consider coming back and spending a leisurely day visiting exhibitors.

     

  • Do I need to be a member to receive the reduced registration rate for NAEYC/Ohio AEYC members?
    Yes. You must be a Standard or Premium Level Member to qualify for reduced rates. Click here to join or renew today . (Reminder: Membership is individual so a program does not hold membership for the group.)

  • ADA Requirements
    Pursuant to the Americans With Disabilities Act, Ohio AEYC is more than happy to make reasonable requests, including interpretation services if made in writing by February 15, 2024.

     

  • If I add a membership as part of the buy 5 get 6th free group registration, do I have to pay for it?
    Yes, even with a 6th person-free/group registration, you will be required to pay for the membership for each person ($69 Standard or $150 for Premium) Memberships will not be processed until payment is received.
     

  • If I am a member where do I find my NAEYC/OHIO AEYC member number?
    The NAEYC membership ID number appears on the NAEYC membership card mailed the first month of the membership year, and in the header of your member account (It's now called your 'Customer ID'). Click here to log in to your profile. Note: Please confirm your affiliate is listed as Ohio AEYC. 

  • I am a non-member. If I add a membership as part of the group registration, do I still have to pay for it?
    Yes, even with a 6th person-free group registration, you will be required to pay for the membership. Memberships will not be processed until payment is received.

  • I have a voucher or credit, what do I do?
    Using your voucher is simple! Please reach out to Laura Richards PRIOR to registering. She will provide you with a discount code to offset your registration cost by the amount of your voucher. 
     

  • Can I get a refund if I cancel my registration?
    Conference Registration fees are non-refundable. You may send a substitute or you may request a credit to be applied to the 2025 Ohi
    o Early Childhood Conference. Please note that all credit requests must be made by March 4, 2024. After that date, only substitutions will be accepted and all balance due's will still be collected. All account balances must be paid within 30 days from registration date. 

    (Notice the bold font? We are using our firm, but kind/sweet/loving tone).

     

  • Can I bring my kids into sessions? 
    The conference is in an adult setting, and children are not allowed in sessions with the exception of nursing infants.  We do ask that mothers of nursing infants be considerate of fellow attendees if their child begins to become disruptive. We will also offer a nursing room.

     

  • I can’t attend the conference anymore, what can I do?
    If you need to make a substitution please email admin@oaeyc.org with the name of the person being substituted, the substitute, as well as the substitute's email, professional role, membership number if applicable and OPIN if applicable.   If you need to make a substitution after April 18, 2024, please have the substitute bring your conference materials to the registration desk.
